Vail Mountain School
The existing Vail Mountain School was expanded to a new 92,000 square-foot campus. The first phase of the 26
million dollar expansion, included new classrooms, a library, an arts center and a 380-seat auditorium. The
school building, which was built in 1979, was taken down to make room for a gymnasium, dining hall,
administrative center and additional classrooms. Consulting services for sound isolation, acoustics, and
mechanical system noise control were provided. Design services for the multipurpose auditorium included sound
systems, performance lighting systems, and rigging/drapery systems. In addition, a sound system for the
gymnasium was designed.
