El Pomar Center
University of Colorado, Colorado Springs
The campus of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs is the home of the El Pomar Center. The 28.6
million dollar expansion and remodel to the Center's library and student center facilities, included a multimedia
learning center, three distance leearning classrooms, and a 2,600 sf TV production studio, complete with control
areas, on-line edit rooms, and four off-line video non-linear edit suites. The high-definition TV studio,
meeting television standards, is used as a teaching facility and for producing shows for distribution on tape
or via off-campus links to broadcast providers. We provided room acoustics, studio lighting system, pipe grid,
broadcast system, and video-teleconferencing system designs.
