A great many of our projects require accurate measurement of various physical parameters. This is particularly true for those projects where we must document an acoustical environment or determine the acoustical properties of a building element, such as a wall, a window, or a floor-ceiling assembly. And, it is equally important when we must develop methods for solving a noise problem, such as excessive noise in the work place or in a theatre.
Company-owned equipment (instruments) consist of laboratory quality microphones, precision sound level meters, real-time analyzers, accelerometers, and various data recording devices. In addition, for conducting architectural acoustic measurements, such as for sound transmission loss tests, impact sound insulation tests, or reverberation time tests, we have a complete complement of transducers (loudspeakers, shakers, etc.), amplifiers, signal generators, tapping machines, etc. These "tools of our trade" are essential to being able to provide the top-notch services for which we are known.
These instruments are capable of accurately measuring and processing field noise data in all of the necessary noise metric forms relevant to environmental noise assessments and architectural acoustics, e.g., sound pressure level (L), equivalent sound level (Leq), day-night equivalent sound level (Ldn), sound exposure level (SEL), statistical sound level (Ln), reverberation time (T60), etc. |
